Welcome! My name is Marisa Michael.

I love food. You probably do too! I love learning to balance good nutrition with enjoyment of food. I’ve been a registered dietitian nutritionist for 21 years, helping people achieve health through nutrition.

I help athletes optimize nutrition for sports performance, from recreational to elite. I have a passion for fitness and wellness. I’ve completed numerous triathlons, ranging from sprint to half-iron distance. All this experience and education means I can help YOU optimize nutrition for training, competing, and health.

What sparked your love for adventure?

Growing up hiking and camping with my family.

How do you prepare mentally and physically for your adventures?

Pack carefully and plan on a lot of food!

How do you define your comfort zone? Are there ways you challenge it?

My comfort zone is anything that feels nice, easy, and fun. I challenge it by doing uncomfortable things. Climbing has been my biggest challenge. Coming from an endurance sport background, climbing was a totally different way to move my body in a totally different space.

What role does nature play in your life?

It helps me feel happy. I love being in the sun and breathing in the clean forest air.
